We are pleased to offer several accounts to meet your banking needs. With Your Free Checking, Your Fabulous 50 Checking, and Your Five Star Checking, at Five Star we have an account for everyone. Five Star also offers Money Markets, Share Certificates (CDs), and Five Star Visa Credit Cards to our members. As a member of the COOP ATM network conveniently located in places like Publix grocery stores, you can access 30,000 surcharge-free locations nationwide including the Presto Network.
Checking Sign-up Bonus of $50
The bonus will be credited to the member’s account within the month following 90 days of account opening. For example: an account opened on May 15th will receive credit in September.
Who qualifies – Faculty or staff who visit a Financial Center or open an account online to establish a checking account. Members will prove their affiliation through showing their employee ID.

Refer a Friend and Make Money
Let your friends know how much you love Five Star. For each friend that you refer, you get $50 and they get $50! That's a good deal. It's easy to refer straight from the Five Star app or online banking. Look for Refer a Friend in the menu of the app or online banking.
Certain criteria must be met to qualify including:
- Complete 10 or more debit card transactions (excluding ATM transactions)
- Complete one direct deposit
- Enroll in eStatements
- Earn up to $500 in a year
Program only open to members and potential members 18 and over. Account must be in good standing with Five Star with no delinquencies. Allow 30 days for delivery of award bonus after completing all of the requirements.
Special Share Certificate Rates:
The special rate offered to the Dothan City Schools member is 25 basis points bump on the current CD rates offered. (Additional 25 basis points not eligible on Share Certificate specials or offers)
Special Consumer Lending Rates
Any Five Star Consumer Loans will receive a 25-basis points concession on rates for those who qualify through the DCS Employee Program. This includes Auto, Motorcycles, Boats, Travel Trailers, Motor Homes and Unsecured Installment Loans.
