Our mission is to make our communities brighter
At Five Star Credit Union, we want to have an impact beyond our core function of providing financial services. We established a private charitable foundation in 2020 to provide funding for educational and training programs for young people and for worthy organizations that move our communities forward.
30 Students future is brighter with grants
The Five Star Credit Union Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization established and funded by Five Star Credit Union.
The foundation has given $280,000 in scholarship funds the past three years. In 2024, the foundation endowed $200,000 to provide ongoing scholarships to Wallace Community College in Dothan, Wallace Community College in Eufaula, Southern Regional Technical College in Bainbridge, Enterprise State Community College in Enterprise, and College of Coastal Georgia. The previous two years, the Foundation gave $80,000 grants to its partner colleges in $10,000 increments to help remove the economic barrier to secondary education. The Five Star Credit Union Foundation has impacted 30 students.
